Earthquake Shaking in Alpine Valleys - Part 2 (SHAKE-VAL 2) - geotechnical laboratory tests for identification of cyclic soil parametersAbstract:IGT’s contribution in the framework of the project SHAKEVAL 2 is related to the parameter identification and determination for liquefaction prone soils. The parameters are needed as input parameters for different soil models for the modelling of wave propagation in the target areas of the SHAKE-VAL project in Wallis. In particular, the layers of soil prone to liquefaction will be modelled in the classical way using a linear equivalent elastic model as well as using a non linear model based on cyclic mobility.
